lnstall worm wheel gear (15) in shielded vise and assemble clutch spring (16) to worm
wheel gear. Secure spring (1 6) using bolt (1 8) and tab washer (1 7).

Assemble worm wheel gear (15), clutch spring (16) and bearing (14) to shaft gear
(1 9).
C.
lnstall starter adapter housing (2) in shielded vise.
lnstall shaft and clutch assembly
items (14 thru 19) into starter adapter housing (2) turning clockwise to seat clutch
spring (16).
D.
Using an arbor press install new bushings (23,24, 25) in accessory drive housing (22).
lnstall new oil seals (26,
27), gear (40), shaft (43) and secure using retaining ring (44).
Install new gaskets (45,
50), covers (46, 51) and secure using attaching hardware (47,
48,49), (52 53, 54).

lnstall scavenge pump gears (30, 32) bushing (31) cover (33) and secure using bolt
(38) and tab washer (37). lnstall new o-ring (21) and accessory drive adapter (22) on
starter adapter housing. Secure using attaching hardware (34, 35, 36).
F.
lnstall new needle bearing (7) into starter adapter housing. Press bearing (12) onto
worm shaft (8) until it is seated against flange. Install spring (9) woodruff key (10) and
worm gear (1 1). lnsert assembly into adapter housing and secure using retaining ring
(13).
