5-10-00 TIME LIMITS/INSPECTION PROGRAM.
The owner or operator is responsible for maintaining the engine in an airworthy condition,
including compliance with all applicable Airworthiness Directives as specified in Part
39
of the
Federal Aviation Regulations and "Airworthiness Limitation" of this manual per
FAR
A33.4. It
is also the responsibility of the owner or operator to insure that the engine is inspected in
compliance with the requirements of Parts 43 and
91
of the Federal Aviation Regulations.
Teledyne Continental Motors has prepared this inspection guide to assist the owner or
operator in meeting their responsibilities. This inspection guide is not intended to be
all-
inclusive; no guide can replace the good judgement of a certified airframe and power plant
mechanic in the performance of his duties. As the one primarily responsible for the airwor-
thiness of the airplane, the owner or operator should select only qualified personnel to
maintain the airplane.
