lnstall new o-ring (4) on shaft of alternator (2).
Lubricate lip of new oil seal (5) and
the polished surface of the drive coupling hub with clean engine oil. Slide hub onto shaft,
over the woodruff key and through the seal lip until seated against inner race of ball bearing.

Install hub

Slide gear (10) onto shaft so its drive lugs
are inserted in the rubber bushings.

When heavy duty coupling is used, only sleeve (12) is a serviceable item. lnstall
coupling assembly (1 1) with sleeve (12) in place.

lnstall nut (13) and tighten to 175 inch pounds torque. If necessary the nut may be
tightened further to align the cotter pin hole with the nut slots, but do not exceed 200 inch
pounds. lnstall cotter pin (14).

lnstall new gasket (1) on accessory case studs and install alternator
(2).
