A.
Remove oil filter (14) attaching hardware (8, 9, 10) and oil filter adapter (1 1, 12,
13).
Remove and discard gasket (17), O-ring (16). On old style accessory case remove attaching
hardware (49 thru
54), brackets (59,
60)
and oil filter adapter (58) or remove oil screen
assembly (45 thru
48).
Discard all used gaskets and O-rings.
B.
Loosen relief valve cap (28) or (33) for later removal.
C.
Remove attaching hardware (1 thru
6)
and carefully separate accessory case from crank-
case studs. Remove and discard gasket (7).
D. Remove attaching hardware (23, 24,
25), cover (26) or tach drive assembly (42 thru
44)
as
applicable. Remove
nut
(371, and discard gasket (27). For oil pump disassembly see Figure 72-
10-1
3.
E. Remove relief valve assembly items (28 thru
36).
Discard gaskets (29,34).
F.
Remove screen (18), plugs (20, 21) and discard gaskets (19, 22).
