z The B-mode probe can be sterilized by wiping or immersing the section
within 10 mm from the contact section using the following chemicals.
Thoroughly rinse the probe with purified water after sterilization.
z Alcohol
z Sodium hypochloride (0.5% solution)
z Immerse the whole eye cup in alcohol or sodium hypochloride solution
(0.5%), rinse them with purified water to completely remove chemicals,
and thoroughly dry them.
When excessive force is applied to the probe cap
membrane, it may be broken
.
z Wipe the probe cap membrane lightly using soft cotton with alcohol.
z When using EOG sterilization for the probe cap membrane, put it in a
sterilizing pack in advance.
<Sterilization conditions>
EOG : Mixture of ethylene oxide gas
(20%) and carbonic acid gas (80%)
Sterilizing temperature : 50 ± 5°C
Sterilizing pressure : (9.8 +/- 0.98) x 104 Pa
Sterilizing time : 5 +/-1 hours
Aeration time : 10 hours or more
