TestProcedure
1.Ensurethatthehydraulicuidisatnormaloperatingtemperatureby
operatingthemachineforatleast10minutes.
2.Determinewhichofthedeckmotorissuspectandbegintestingwiththat
motor.
3.ParkthemachineonalevelsurfacewiththePTOswitchoff,lowerthecutting
decks,shutofftheengine,mowspeedlimiterisintheMOWposition,and
settheparkingbrake.
CAUTION
Beforeopeningthehydraulicsystem,operateallthehydraulic
controlstoreleasesystempressureandavoidinjuryfromthe
pressurizedhydraulicuid;refertoReleasingPressurefromthe
HydraulicSystem(page4–6).

5.Forthedeckmotorthatistobetested,cleanthejunctionofthemotorcase
drainhose(smalldiameterhose)whereitisconnectedtothetractionunit
bulkhead(notatthemotor)(Figure64).
6.Disconnectthecasedrainhoseandputasteelcaponthettingatthe
tractionunit.Leavethecasedrainhosefromthemotoropenandplacethe
openendofthedisconnectedhoseintoadrainpan.
IMPORTANT
Ensurethattheuidowindicatorarrowontheowgaugeis
showingthattheuidwillowfromthedeckmotor,throughthe
tester,andintothereturnhose.
