8.Ifnecessary,removetherollpinandliftarmpivotshaft(item13inFigure
222)fromtheframe.Discardtherollpin.
InstallingtheRearLiftArms
1.Iftheliftarmpivotshaft(item13inFigure222)wasremovedfromtheframe,
applyanti-seizelubricanttothepivotshaftsurfaceandinserttheshaftinto
theframe.Aligntheholesintheframewiththepivotshaft.Securethepivot
shaftwithnewrollpin.
2.Ifthecuttingdeckpivotshaft(item8inFigure222)wasremovedfromthelift
arm,insertthecuttingdeckpivotshaftintheliftarmandsecurewiththebolt.
3.Slidetherearliftarmontothepivotshaft.
4.Securetherearliftarmtothemachineasfollows:
A.Applymediumstrengththreadlocker(orequivalent)tothethreadsofthe
bolts(items4,5,and7inFigure222).
B.Positionthebridgeplateandbulkheadbracketwithattachedhydraulic
hosestotheliftarmandframebracket.
C.Installthebolts,atandthrustwashers(items3and6inFigure222),and
locknut(item14inFigure222)tothebridgeplate,bulkheadbracket,pivot
shafts,andframebracket.
D.Tightenthe1/2inchfasteners(items5and7inFigure222)to80to100
N∙m(108to135ft-lb)109to135N∙m(80to100ft-lb).Then,tighten
the5/8inchfasteners(item4inFigure222)to183to223N∙m(135
to165ft-lb).
5.Connecttheliftcylindertotheliftarm(item7inFigure223)asfollows:
A.Aligntheliftcylinderrodendwiththeliftarmmountinghole.
B.Slidethecylinderpinwiththeretainingringandthrustwasherthrough
theliftcylinderandliftarm.
C.Installthesecondthrustwasheronthepinandsecurewiththesecond
retainingring.
D.PositiontheR-clampandhydraulichosestotheliftarmandsecurethe
R-clampwiththewasher-headscrew.
6.Mountthecuttingdecktotheliftarm;refertoInstallingtheCuttingDeck
CarrierFrame(page7–24).
7.Lubricatetheliftarmandliftcylindergreasettings.
