TheGroundsmaster7210machineisequippedwithaStandardControlModule
(SCM)tomonitorandcontroltheelectricalcomponentsrequiredforsafe
operation.TheSCMisattachedtothecontrolpanelcover(Figure133).
TheSCMmonitorstheinputsfromthekey,neutral,parkingbrake,PTO,seat,
anddualtemperatureswitch.TheSCMprovidesaRunandStartsignalfor
theEngineControllertouse.
UsetheSCMtochecktheoperationofthemachineswitchesbymonitoringthe
SCMLEDs.IfaSCMLEDdoesnotilluminate(e.g.,theInseatinputLEDdoes
notilluminatewhentheseatisoccupiedandthekeyswitchisintheONposition),
youmusttesttheswitch,fuses,andcircuitwiring.
TheSCMdoesnotconnecttoanexternalcomputerorhandhelddevice,cannot
bere-programmed,anddoesnotrecordintermittentfaultdata.
SCMInputs
ThepowerinputLEDshouldbeilluminatedwhenthekeyswitchisintheON
position.ThepowerinputLEDshouldalsobeilluminatedwhenthekeyswitchis
intheSTARTposition.
ThestartinputLEDshouldbeilluminatedwhenthekeyswitchisintheSTART
position.
TheneutralinputLEDshouldbeilluminatedwhenthe2tractioncontrollevers
areintheNEUTRALLOCKposition.
TheparkingbrakeoffinputLEDshouldbeilluminatedwhenyoudonotset
theparkingbrake.
