Theseatswitchisnormallyopenandcloseswhentheoperatorisontheseat.If
thetractionsystemorPTOswitchisengagedwhentheoperatorraisesoutof
theseat,theengineshutsoff.Theseatswitchanditselectricalconnectorare
locateddirectlyundertheseat(Figure155).
TheStandardControlModule(SCM)monitorsthestatusoftheseatswitch.If
thekeyswitchisintheONpositionandtheseatisoccupied,theSCMInseat
inputLEDshouldbeilluminated.
TestingtheSeatSwitch
1.Beforeyoudisconnecttheseatswitchfortesting,ensurethatyoutestthe
switchanditscircuitwiringasaSCMinput;refertoStandardControlModule
(page5–3).
2.IftheSCMveriesthattheseatswitchandcircuitwiringarefunctioning
correctly,thennomoreswitchtestingisnecessary.
3.IftheSCMdeterminesthattheseatswitchandcircuitwiringarenot
functioningcorrectly,thentesttheseatswitchasfollows:
A.EnsurethatthekeyswitchisintheOFFposition.Tilttheseatassembly
uptogetaccesstotheseatswitchelectricalconnections.
