DonotstarttheengineandengagethePTOswitchwhenthePTOdriveshaftis
disconnectedfromthecuttingdeck(orimplement).IfyoustarttheengineandthePTO
shaftisallowedtorotate,seriouspersonalinjuryandmachinedamagecouldresult.
BeforedisconnectingthePTOdriveshaftfromthecuttingdeck(orimplement),remove
thefuseF1(15A)fromthefuseblocktopreventthePTOclutchfromengaging
accidentally.
CAUTION
Donotworkonthecuttingdeckwiththeenginerunning.
Alwaysshutofftheengineandremovethekeyfromthekeyswitchbeforeworking
onthecuttingdeck.

Beforeservicingthecuttingdeck,removethefuseF1(15A)fromthefuseblock
(Figure216).PowertothePTOswitchwillbedisconnectedafterremovingthe
fuseF1whichwillpreventthePTOclutchfromengagingaccidentally.Plugthe
fusebackintothefuseblockafterservicingthecuttingdeck.
BladeStoppingTime
Thebladesofthecuttingdeckshouldcometoacompletestopinlessthan7
secondsafteryoudisengagethePTOswitch.
Note:Whencheckingthebladestoppingtime,ensurethatthedeckislowered
ontoacleansectionofturforhardsurfacetopreventdustandunwantedmaterial.
Tocheckthebladestoppingtime,instructasecondpersontostayawayfrom
themachineatasafedistanceandmonitorthebladesonthecuttingdeck.
