Theuseofsomespecializedtestequipmentisexplained.However,thecostof
thetestequipmentandthespecializednatureofsomerepairsmaydictatethat
theworkbedoneatanenginerepairfacility.

AuthorizedToroDistributor.Ifthepartslistisnotavailable,provideyour
distributorwiththeT oroModelandSerialNumberofyourmachine.

TheenginethatpowersyourGroundsmastermachineisaYanmarModel
3TNV88C(usedonGroundsmaster7210Models30616,30617,30618,30619,
30633,and30695),aTier4Fcompliantengine.TheYanmarServiceManualand
YanmarTroubleshootingManualareavailablefortheseengines.Ensurethatthe
correctenginemanualsareusedwhenservicingtheengineonyourmachine.
EngineElectronicControlUnit(ECU)
TheYanmarengineusedintheGroundsmaster7210machineusesanelectronic
controlunit(ECU)forenginemanagementandtocommunicatewithoperator
InfoCenteronthemachine.TheengineECUislocatedontheleftsideofthe
machineframeneartheengine.
IMPORTANT
DonotplugorunplugtheengineECUfor30secondsafterthe
machinekeyswitchisturnedoff.TheengineECUmayremain
energizedeventhoughthekeyswitchisintheOFFposition.
IfyoumustdisconnecttheengineECUforanyreason,ensurethatthekeyswitch
isintheOFFpositionwiththekeyremovedbeforedisconnectingtheengine
ECU.Also,topreventpossibleECUdamagewhenweldingonthemachine,
disconnectandremovetheengineECUfromthemachinebeforewelding.
Theengineelectricalcomponents(e.g.,ECU,fuelinjectors,EGR,andexhaust
DPF)areidentiedandmatchedintheengineECUprogram.Ifengineelectrical
componentsarereplaced,theYanmarelectronictoolmustbeusedtoupdatethe
ECUprogramwhichwillensurecorrectengineoperation.
