RemovingtheOilCooler
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdeck(orimplement),
shutofftheengine,settheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromthe
keyswitch.
2.Unlatchthehoodandraiseit.
CAUTION
Ahotradiatorandoilcoolercancauseburns.
Allowtheengineandcoolingsystemstocoolbeforeworkingonor
nearthem.
3.Removetheradiatorandoilcoolerfromthemachine;refertoRemovingthe
Radiator(page3–13).
4.Removethe3screws(item1inFigure132),6atwashers,3lockwashers,
and3nutsthatattachtheoilcoolertotheradiator.
5.Separatetheoilcoolerfromtheradiator.
InspectingtheOilCooler
1.Backushtheoilcoolerwithcleaningsolvent.Aftercleaningthecooler,
ensurethatallthesolventisdrainedfromthecooler.
CAUTION
Useeyeprotectionsuchasgoggleswhenusingcompressedairto
drytheoilcooler.
