connection.
3.LightlylubricatetheO-ringwithcleanhydraulicuid.Ensurethatthethreads
ofthettingarecleanwithnolubricantapplied.
4.Turnbackthelocknutasfaraspossible.Ensurethattheback-upwasheris
notlooseanditispushedupasfaraspossible(Step1inFigure25).
IMPORTANT
Beforeinstallingthettingintotheport,determinethematerialof
whichtheportismade.Installingattingintoanaluminumport
requiresareducedinstallationtorque.
5.Installtheadjustablettingintotheportbyhanduntilthewashercontactsthe
faceoftheport(Step2inFigure25).
6.Iftheadjustablettingneedstoalignwithanothercomponent,rotatethetting
counterclockwiseuntilitisalignedtothedesiredposition(Step3inFigure
25).Donotrotatetheadjustablettingmorethan1turncounterclockwise.
7.Holdthettinginthecorrectalignmentwithawrenchanduseatorque
wrenchandtightenthettingtotherecommendedtorquevaluewithinthe
speciedrangeoftorquevalues;refertotheFittingInstallationT orqueT able
(page4–7).Thistighteningprocedurerequiresadrive-adapterwrench(e.g.,
crowfootwrench).
Note:Itmaybenecessarytouseadrive-adapterwrench(e.g.,crowfoot
wrench)toinstallahydraulictting;refertoCalculatingtheT orqueValues
WhenUsingaDrive-AdapterWrench(page2–5).
8.Ifatorquewrenchisnotavailableorifspaceattheportpreventstheuse
ofatorquewrench,usethealternativeprocedureFlatFromFingerTight

A.Holdthettinginthecorrectalignmentwithawrenchand,iftheport
materialissteel,tightenthelocknutwithasecondwrenchtothelisted
FFFT(Step4inFigure25).
