shouldmakeandbreakcontinuitybetweentheterminals30and87as+12
VDCissetandremovedfromterminal85.
8.Disconnectthevoltagefromterminal85andmultimeterleadfromterminal87.
9.Connectthemultimeter(ohmssetting)leadstotherelayterminals30and
87Aandapply+12VDCtotheterminal85.Therelayshouldmakeand
breakcontinuitybetweentheterminals30and87Aas+12VDCissetand
removedfromtheterminal85.
10.Aftertesting,disconnectthevoltageandmultimetertestleadsfromthe
relayterminals.
11.Attachtherelaytothemountingbracketandconnectthewireharness
connectortotherelay.
12.Connectthepositive(+)cabletothebatteryandthenconnectthenegative
(-)cabletobattery;refertoServicingtheBattery(page5–61).
13.Lowerthehoodandsecureitwiththelatches.
