7.1 MIDI Connectivity
The physical connections for the MIDI inputs and outputs are located on the
rear panel of the S-4 device.

Two dedicated MIDI connections are located on the S-4 rear
panel for connecting 3.5mm to 5 Pin Type A Adapters.

A Standard 5 Pin DIN MIDI cable
can be connected via the adapter.
Set the S-4 and the external device to
the same MIDI Channel i.e. Channel 1.
A MIDI Controller for example a keyboard or sequencer can
be connected to the S-4 by the MIDI Input.
USB also offers a MIDI interface to connect other gear. Ensure the USB
cable is specied for data communication.

MIDI In Indicator
The USB-C Connection also allows interfacing to other gear,
PC/Mac DAW’s and controllers.
Any MIDI data received into the S-4 is indicated by the MIDI Symbol located in the
top right of the page. This icon will ash when MIDI data is received.
The T-1 Sequencer is a perfect companion for the S-4. The
USB-C S-4 Connection will also supply power to the T-1.
