The mast must be erected before aligning.
1. To align the wind set on a mast, use a compass or other similar method to make sure
that the wind vane end of the cross arm is pointing to the North.
2. To align the wind set on a lowered mast, place a spirit level on the cross arm, and verify
that the sensor assembly is exactly horizontal.
3. Connect the sensor cable.

Installing WXT520
You can install WXT520 on top of a 60‑mm (2.36‑in) pole mast or on a sensor support arm.
For the most reliable measurements:
• Avoid trees or other objects nearby which could disturb wind flow.
• Install the sensor to the height that best represents the prevailing wind conditions on
site.
