prev ents the driving wheels from
spinning, irrespective of the road
conditions and tyre grip.
The system monitors the rotational sp eed
of all wheels. As soon as at least one
driving wheel sta rts to spin, the engine
output is reduced (the sound of the engine
changes) and the spinning wheel is braked.
This improves the vehicle’s directional
control and driv ing power, particularly on
snow and ic e as well as on wet or slippery
ro a d s.

is ready for operation as soon a s the
ignition is switc hed on and the control
indica tor v goes out.

The vehicle is now in a critical situation;

speed to the road conditions.

Illuminates for a few seconds when the
ignition is switched on. The system is now
ready for operation.
Flashing during driving
This shows the system has come into
action. The engine output may be reduced
(the sound of the eng ine changes) and the
vehicle m ay be braked a utoma tica lly to a
small degree.
