Tyres fitted in the factory are adapted to
the chassis and provide optimum driving
comfort and sa fety.
Changing tyre/wheel type
Before switching to different tyres or
wheels, seek advice on the technical
possibilities. We recommend that you
cons u lt y ou r Va ux ha ll Au t h oris ed Re pairer,
who will be able to advise y ou of any
necessary modifications.
If tyres of a different size than those fitted
at the factory are used, the e lectronic
speedometer may require reprogramming
to ensure that the correct sp eed is
displayed.
Fitti ng new tyres
Fit tyres in pa irs or in sets, which is even
better. Ensure that tyres on one axle are
z the same siz e
z the same design
z the same make
z and have the same tread pattern.
Fit directional tyres such that they roll in the
direction of trav el. The rolling direction is
indicated by a symbol (e.g. an arrow) on
the sidewall.
Tyres fitted opposing the rolling direction
(such as when changing a tyre) should b e
refitted as soon as possible. This is the only
way to benefit fully from the d esign
properties of the tyre.
Use of unsuitable tyres or wheels m ay
lead to accidents and render the vehicle
unroadworthy.
We recommend that you have your tyres
changed by your Vauxhall Authorised
Repairer, who will b e familiar w ith the
requirem ents of the law a s re gards
disposal of tyres and can thus help to
protect the environment and your
he alth .
