About System Status LEDs
There are 4 System Status LEDs that communicate detailed information about the state of the
Wave Server.
Acronyms and definitions of selected terms
The following acronyms and terms are used in the System LED settings tables in this appendix:
ISC1/ISC2—Embedded processor installed on the Wave Server that provides primary
system control including voice processing and packet switching elements.
VAM—Vertical Application Module. Single-board computer that runs the Integrated
Services Manager (ISM1) and call center applications.
ISC1/ISC2 Firmware—Firmware that runs on the Integrated Services Card.
PLD Programmer—Software component on the VAM that is responsible for checking the
version of the
ISC1/ISC2 firmware and reflashing it with a newer version if one is
available on the VAM’s hard drive.
Linux—Operating system that runs on the ISC1/ISC2.
Check Disk—Windows utility that looks for and optionally repairs file system errors and
bad sectors on a hard drive. While Check Disk is running, do not reset or re-boot the
system—Check Disk should be allowed to complete. If it is interrupted, the system will
run Check Disk again on recovery, thus increasing the amount of time it will take to
return the system to a ready state.
