1.5.2 Safety instructions for smartphones (only EAV4+)
Make sure that your smartphone’s virus scanner and firewall are always up to
date. This is the only way to protect yourself from attacks from the Internet. Re-
gularly check that your software is up to date and install the available updates.
1.5.3 Notes on wireless operation (e.g. Bluetooth®/WLAN,
only EAV4+)
Radio transmission takes place via a non-exclusive transmission path. This may
cause interference from other radio applications. Electric motors or defective
electrical devices may also cause malfunctions. The transmission performance
and reception characteristics of blueMatic EAV4+ depend heavily on structural
conditions. This means that the range in the open field is dierent from that in
buildings. Likewise, the signal is transmitted dierently at high humidity than at
low. When using WLAN, it must be ensured that it is available in front of the
entrance door/outside the house.
