4.3 Dimmer Switch
Chapter 4: Removal, Replacement, and Adjustment Procedures
5. Take out the switch raceway retaining screws (E), and remove the switch
(A).
6. Remove the wire nuts from the switch (A) wires.
NOTE:
Both wires are black.
7. Remove the switch (A) from the headwall.
Replacement
1. Place the wires in their original positions on the switch (A).
2. Tighten the terminal screws to hold the wires firmly in place.
3. Install the switch (A) with retaining screws (E) on the raceway.
4. Tighten the retaining screws (E).
5. Place the faceplate (B) on the raceway.
6. Install and tighten the retaining screws (D).
7. Place the part in the raceway.
8. Install the dimmer switch knob (C) on the shaft.
9. Remove the lock out and out-of-service tags.
10. Set the building circuit breaker to the ON position.
11. Test the switch (A) to ensure it is operational.
