2.2 Dimmer Switch Does Not Operate the Light
1. All other Integris® 2001 Headwall System electrical systems are
operational.
Yes No
Restore electrical service from the building to the Integris®
2001 Headwall System.
2. The dimmer switch operates the light.
Yes No
Go to step 4.
3. Go to Final Actions on page 2-5.
SHOCK HAZARD:
Use care when checking live voltages. Do not touch live terminals,
wires, and ground. Failure to use caution could result in personal injury.
4. Perform the following:
a. Gain access to the switch terminals.
b. Rotate the switch knob fully counterclockwise (off).
c. Measure the voltage across the switch terminals.
A voltage meter shows that 109 to 125V AC is present.

Repair or replace the wiring between the wall box and the
dimmer switch.
SHOCK HAZARD:
Locate the involved building circuit breaker panel. Set the involved
circuit breaker to OFF. Lock out and tag out the breaker. Failure to
follow this procedure could cause serious personal injury and damage
to the equipment.
5. Perform the following:
a. Disconnect one of the wires from the dimmer switch terminals.
b. Connect a digital multimeter across switch terminals and set the meter
for resistance.
c. Observe the meter while rotating the switch knob from fully
counterclockwise to fully clockwise.
