2.5 Timed Light Switch and Toggle Switch Do Not Operate
Properly
SHOCK HAZARD:
Use care when checking live voltages. Do not touch live terminals,
wires, and ground. Failure to use caution could result in personal injury.
1. The building circuit breaker is in the ON position.
Yes No
↓ → Reset the breaker to the ON position.
2. A voltage of 109 to 125V AC is available between the lug and the terminal
of the breaker.
Yes No
↓ → Replace the circuit breaker according to the manufacturer’s
instruction.
3. A voltage of 109 to 125V AC is available at th
e wire terminals on the
toggle switch.
Yes No
↓ → Repair or replace the wiring between the circuit breaker and the
toggle switch.
4. Place the toggle switch in the ON position. The lights turn ON.
Yes No
↓ → Replace the applicable light bulb.
5. The light is operational.
Yes No
↓ → Replace the toggle switch. See “Timed Light Switch and Toggle
Switch” on page 4-17.
6. Place th
e toggle light switch in the OFF position. The lights turn OFF at the
setting of the timer (0–15 minutes).
Yes No
↓ → Adjust the timer to the correct setting. See “Timed Light Switch
and Toggle Switch” on page 4-17.
