17.1.1 Airventvalve
An air vent valve must be installed at the highest point in the system.
17.1.2 Flushingtheheatingsystem
The following points must be observed for the heating side:
− To prevent any existing dirt in the heating system from causing malfunctions in the
heatpump,theheatingsystemmustbethoroughlycleanedandushedbefore
the heat pump is connected. This applies to new systems and in particular when
replacing an appliance.
− Theowandreturnontheheatpumpsidemustbeequippedwithshut-offsystems

17.1.3 Fillingtheheatingsystem
Beforecommissioning,thesystemmustbelledandvented.
− Open the locking cap on the air vent valve in the indoor module by one revolution.
− Open all heating circuits.
− SlowlylltheentireheatingsystemwhilecoldviatheBDFvalveatthereturn,upto
approx. 2 bar pressure (observe pressure gauge).
− Move the 3-way diverter valve manually from heating mode to DHW mode and
back again.
− Check the entire system for water leaks.
− Slowly open the expansion vessel.
− Switch the heat pump ON.
− Vent the heating circuits completely by going to the contractor level and selecting
the required pump under "Relay test". Then switch the pump ON for 5 seconds and
OFFfor5seconds,vetimesinsuccession.
− When the system pressure drops below 1.5 bar, top up the water.
