3.2.4.5 Controller fault maintenance determination method
Function definition: as a component for electric vehicle energy management and control signal processing, it controls
the motor speed and has the self - test functions of undervoltage, current - limiting and overcurrent protection, ride
mode
and vehicle electrical components.
Common faults: motor non - operation, loud abnormal sound, weak motor rotation, unable to load, slow speed, stuck
riding and electric vehicle locking.
Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting steps:
Motor non - operation: trun on power lock and rotate the handle. The motor has no response
(1) Input voltage and signal voltage check:
Trun on power lock and measure the power input
end voltage of 52 - 68V Voltage input.

Check the electric vehicle battery for electricity,
the power fuse for fusing and good contact with
the motor and controller.
Normal voltage
Check the controller
(2) Motor rotation check:
After the power lock of the electric vehicle is
closed, the burglar alarm is in the disarmed state,
and the motor hub is manually rotated to confirm

Intermittent motor operation: apply force on the throttle and the motor can rotate, but stop several seconds
later. This phenomenon appears repeatedly.
(1) Battery voltage check:
Measure the battery voltage
with the DC gear of multimeter.
Abnormal
voltage
1. Check the connecting wire of the charging
circuit.
2. Charge the battery.
Normal voltage
Check the terminal of the power cord for:
Looseness and poor contact.
Low motor speed: the motor can run normally but at a low speed.
(1) Battery voltage check:
The battery voltage measured with the DC gear
of multimeter shall be within the voltage range of
the specifications of the battery matching the real
vehicle.
Abnormal
voltage
1. Check the connecting wire of the charging
circuit.
2. Charge the battery.
Normal voltage
Check the terminal of the power cord for:
Looseness and poor contact.
(2) Speed control switch check:
Press the corresponding gear of the speed control
switch for speed control. The speed shall be con-
trolled normally.
