6.1.4.4 Fault maintenance determination method of front fork and rear shock absorber
Function definition of front fork and rear shock absorber:
(1) Support the vehicle body.
(2) Transfer the counterforce of the road surface on the vehicle body.
(3) Ease the body impact and weaken the body vibration.
(4) Restrain the vehicle bounce and improve the grounding of the tire to the ground to ensure the vehicle safety.
(5) Decoration
Common faults of front fork and rear shock absorber: poor return of shock absorber, abnormal sound
of shock absorber, soft or hard shock absorber and oil leakage in shock absorber

Test whether the associated size of gear train
fit meets the standard: About 5—20mm

Solutions:
Over size of front fork distance: add gasket
Under size of front fork distance:
correct the
steering column and the size of the mounting
surface for front shock absorber.

2. Abnormal sound of shock absorber:
(1) First test the vehicle shock absorber and other related parts for interference and abnormal sound to eliminate the
abnormal sound of shock absorber.
(2) Some users judge the oil return sound of the shock absorber as abnormal sound, which is not correct. A hydraulic
shock absorber must have oil return sound. It is mainly required to determine whether the size of the oil sound is
abnormal.
