PREMIUM E-MOBILITY
YD-EM279
72
1. Small spring stiffness and small pre-pressure
value
2. Insufficient damping oil
Soft
Solutions
1. Disassembly the front shock absorber end
cover and add a liner or gasket of proper
length to increase the pre - pressure stop.
Be careful not to increase too much, other-
wise the safety of driving will be affected.
2. Add the shock absorber fluid temporarily.
This method is not feasible, as it will result in
excessive internal pressure, affect the nor-
mal use of the oil seal and cause early liquid
leakage
Judgment method
Roadblock test: roadblock height 50mm, 100mm
or different speeds on the waveform pavement,
such as V=10Km/h, 20Km/h and 30Km/h to
judge whether there is a bottoming impact sound
2.Reason for soft and hard rear shock absorber
1. Large or small pre-pressure value
2. Whether the mounting sizes of the upper
and lower axle pins are in the “splayed”
shape
Soft and hard
Solutions
1. For a product with adjustable seat, adjust
the gear of the rear shock absorber and in-
crease the same pre - pressure value of the
spring on both sides. Otherwise the vehicle
use safety will be affected.
2. For a product without adjustable seat, add
a hard shock absorber to test whether the
mounting lug on both ends of the rear shock
absorber interferes with the frame. Adjust
the structure accordingly
3. Oil leakage in shock absorber:
Press the shock absorber 3 - 5 times by hand in
static state, and the oil runs down the front fork
pipe or the rear reducer link. Pry the dust cover of
the front shock absorber and there is oil on the oil
seal end face. This phenomenon is judged as oil
leakage
Oil leakage
Solutions:
1. If the front shock absorber fork pipe has
intact surface quality, the oil seal can be
replaced. Pay attention to the installation
direction and precautions of the oil seal. Be-
fore replacement of the front shock absorb-
er parts, the front shock absorber must be
cleaned with kerosene, loaded with the parts
and injected with the special damping oil. Oil
level height: when the fork pipe moves down
the bottom, the size of the port between the
oil level and the fork pipe is about 80mm for
the short front shock absorber (center dis-
tance below 400mm).
2. Replace the rear shock absorber if it is leaky
Judgment method
Press the shock absorber 3 - 5 times by hand in
static state and there is no obvious oil dripping
and only oil at the dust cover port. Pry the dust
cover and there is no oil on the oil seal end face.
This phenomenon is pseudomorphic oil leakage
and can be ignored.
