7.3.6.2 Caliper check
●
Check the caliper body - 1 - and replace the caliper as-
sembly in case of scratch/wear.
●
Check the piston - 2 - and replace the caliper assembly
in case of scratch/wear.
7.3.6.3 Caliper assembly
Warning:
●
All parts in the brake system can be cleaned with clean
brake fluid only.
●
When installing internal parts, apply brake fluid for lubrica-
tion.
●
After caliper decomposition, a new oil line seal ring, piston
dustproof oil seal and piston seal oil seal shall be used.
Recommended brake fluid specification: DOT4
●
Install the dustproof oil seal - 1 -.
●
Install the piston seal oil seal - 2 -.
●
Install the caliper piston - 3 -.
Apply the brake fluid to the outer surface of piston before
installation.
Caution:
●
New dustproof oil seal and sealed oil seal are used.
●
Do not apply pressure when installing the piston.
●
Be careful when loading so as not to damage the piston.
●
Install the left pump body.
●
Install the right pump body.
●
Install the oil line seal ring.
●
Install the pump body bolts.
Caution:
●
When the left and right pump bodies are combined, the
new oil line seal ring shall be used.
●
A new copper washer shall be used for caliper installation.
●
After caliper installation, fill with the brake fluid and re-
lease air. Refer to the “Air release (hydraulic brake sys-
tem). → Page 98
