6. Measure the brush length. Replace if out
of specification.
7. Check the base for cracks or damage.
Replace if necessary.

damage or wear. Replace the PTT motor
base if necessary.
Assembling the power trim and tilt
motor
1. Install the oil seal

into the motor base

as shown.
2. Install the brush holders

, brushes

PTT motor leads

, and screws

to the
motor base as shown.
3. Install the brush springs into the motor
base, and push the brushes

into the
holders, and then install the armature

4. Install the new O-ring and yoke

to the
motor base.
