NOTE:
Make sure that the throttle position sensor
output voltage is within specification when
the throttle is fully closed and fully open.
Checking the thermo sensor
1. Place the thermo sensor in a container of
water and slowly heat the water.
2. Measure the thermo sensor resistance.
Replace if out of specification.
Checking the oil pressure switch
1. Connect the special service tool to the oil
pressure switch.
2. Slowly operate the special service tool.
3. Check the switch for continuity at the
specified pressure. Replace if there is no
continuity.
Throttle position sensor input
voltage:
Red (R) Orange (O)
5 V
Throttle position sensor output
voltage:
Pink (P) Orange (O)
0.485.25 V
Thermo sensor resistance:
at 20 °C (68 °F): 2.45 k
at 40 °C (104 °F): 1.15 k
at 60 °C (140 °F): 0.59 k
at 80 °C (176 °F): 0.32 k
