Install:
• Spark plugs
To prevent threads from being damaged, temporally
tighten “a” the spark plug before tightening it to the speci-
fied torque “b”.
MUFFLER
(For models equipped with a muffler)

Remove:
• Spark arrester screw “1”
2.
Remove:
• Spark arrester “1”
Use a flathead screw driver to pry the spark arrester out
from the muffler.
Spark plug:
20 N·m (2.0 kgf·m, 14 lb·ft)
The engine and muffler will be very hot after the
engine has been run.
Avoid touching the engine and muffler while they are
still hot with any part of your body or clothing during
check or repair.
