Damage  Replace.
CHECKING THE REED VALVE

• Reed valve
Damage  Replace.
INSTALLING THE VALVE LIFTERS AND
CAMSHAFT
The following procedure applies to all of the camshaft and
valve lifters.
1. Install:
• Valve lifter “1” (Intake)
• Valve lifter “2” (Exhaust)
2. Install:
• Camshaft “1”
INSTALLING THE COVER 1
1. Clean:
• Mating surfaces of the crankcase and the cover 1
(with a cloth dampened with lacquer thinner)

Be sure to align the camshaft gear mark “a” with the
crankshaft gear mark “b”.
