Remove:
Muffler
(Refer to “MUFFLER (For models equipped with a
muffler)” on page 3-4)
4.
Decarbonize:
Muffler
Tap on the muffler in the area shown in the illustra-
tion to loosen carbon buildup, and then shake it out
from the end of the muffler.
5.
Decarbonize:
Spark arrester
6.
Install:
Muffler
(Refer to “MUFFLER (For models equipped with a
muffler)” on page 3-4)
Spark arrester
Spark arrester screw
Align the spark arrester lump “a” with the hole “b” in the
muffler pipe.
ENGINE OIL LEAKAGE
1.
Place the multi-purpose engine on a level surface.
Do not use a wire brush to clean, otherwise the noise
damping material may come out, and the damping
effect may be reduced.
NOTICE
When cleaning with a wire brush, use it softly to avoid
damage or scratch the spark arrester.
NOTICE
Spark arrester screw:
3.5 N·m (0.35 kgf·m, 2.5 lb·ft)
