The Multi-Channel Online Monitor does not power up
Cause: The power cord is not plugged into the electrical outlet or the Multi-Channel Online Monitor.
Solution: Ensure the power cord is plugged into the Multi-Channel Online Monitor back panel and the electrical outlet.
Cause: The power outlet is not working.
Solution: Check to see if the outlet works by plugging another item into it. If the outlet is not working, check the outlet’s
circuit breaker to see if it has been switched off. Note: if the circuit breaker has been switched off, this may
indicate too large of a power load for that circuit. The Multi-Channel Online Monitor may need to use a different
circuit, i.e., power outlet, to prevent circuit overload.
The Multi-Channel Online Monitor touchscreen does not work
Cause: The touchscreen requires calibration.
Solution: The touchscreen is shipped precalibrated from the factory and should require no calibration upon installation.
If the touchscreen loses calibration, then the screen will require a calibration. Login to the Administrative
function and refer to Section 3.8 Touchscreen Calibration, for performing the touchscreen calibration.
No fluid flow through the Multi-Channel Online Monitor
Cause: First sample is being taken from the bioreactor.
Solution: Wait for the first sample to come through. Sometimes the Multi-Channel Online Monitor needs more time to
prime the tubing for the first sample.
Cause: Loose fitting(s).
Solution: Check all fittings and make sure they are tight. If loose, tighten.
Cause: Broken or pinched tubing.
Solution: Change the tubing assembly. Note: Before changing the tubing, make sure the Multi-Channel Online Monitor
is not in sampling mode. The system will need to be stopped using the software. Sampling may be resumed
after the tubing change.
Cause: Tubing is blocked.
Solution: Find and remove the blockage. Replace tubing if blockage cannot be resolved easily.
