Context
Thefollowingissuesrequireattentionwhenconguringstaticroutes:
lForapoint-to-pointinterface,itisonlynecessarytospecifytheout-interfaceforthe
staticroute,becausespecifyinganout-interfacealsospeciesthenexthopimplicitly.
Itisconsideredthattheaddressonthepeerinterfaceconnectedtothelocalinterface
directlyisthenexthopaddressoftheroute.
lForanEthernetinterface,itisnotallowedtospecifyanEthernetinterfaceasan
out-interface.Inapplications,whenitisnecessarytospecifyanEthernetinterface
asanout-interface,itisnecessarytospecifytheout-interfacerstandthenspecify
thenexthopaddress.
lAstaticroutewithanout-interfaceasanullinterfacecanbeappliedasablackroute.
Trafcmatchingthisrouteisdroppeddirectly.
