6146/6156 DC Voltage/Current Generators Operation Manual
2.3.2 Sweep Source Mode
2-48
Setting the bias value
The bias value is set using MENU, SWEEP and BIAS.
Set the bias value in the same manner as the start value.
Setting the step time
For the step time setting, refer to Section 2.2.7, "Continuous Function."
Setting Return to bias
Return to bias is set using MENU, SWEEP and RTB.
1. Press MENU.
2. Select ..2.. SWEEP with , or , and enter the Select level with .
3. Select RTB with , or , and enter the Input/Run level with .
4. Select OFF or ON with , or , and press ENTER and EXIT in this
order to return to the HOME screen.
OFF Returns to the bias value when the sweep stop value is reached.
ON Stays at the stop value when the sweep stop value is reached.
NOTE: If sweep is executed with the step value set to less than the minimum resolutions of the start, step and
bias values (e.g. start value=00.0000V, stop value=32.0000V, step value=0.01 mV), the step time will be
extended apparently as the source value changes below the lowest digit.
2.3.2.2 Sweep Mode
The following three modes are provided to execute sweep.
For the start, stop, step and bias value settings, refer to Section 2.3.2.1, "Setting Sweep Conditions."
For the step time setting, refer to Section 2.2.7, "Continuous Function."
Sweep mode Contents
Hold sweep Changes the source value by the step value from the start value to the
stop value whenever a trigger (key, command or external signal) is
input.
Single sweep Changes the source value by the step value from the start value to the
stop value at intervals specified by the step time.
Repeat sweep Changes the source value by the step value from the start value to the
stop value at intervals specified by the step time.
Repeats from the start value when reaching the stop value.
