4.2.1.2 AC Voltage Measurement (ACV and ACV(AC+DC))
For an AC voltage superimposed on a DC voltage, select the ACV function that measures an effective
value of the AC voltage only, or the ACV (AC+DC) function that measures a root-mean-square value of
the AC and DC voltages.
1. Connect a DUT to the COM and V terminals on the front panel.
2. <ACV measurement>
Press .
An effective value of the AC voltage with AC coupling is measured.
<ACV (AC+DC) measurement>
Press and .
ACV and DCV are measured and the root mean square value ( ) is displayed.
The AC and DC indicators are turned on to show the AC+DC coupling.
WARNING: Do not apply voltage that exceeds the maximum allowable applied voltage. Fire or electric
shocks due to the failure of this instrument may occur.
