NOTE If the LIS connection
becomes disconnected, the LIS icon
turns Red. All sample test results
become LIS pending. Once the con-
nection is re-established the instru-
ment will send the results to the LIS
Server, if it set to automatically
transfer the data.
Changing the LIS/LAN Settings
• Press LIS / LAN, select a user and enter
the password. The user can establish the
LIS connection and modify the instru-
ment’s LIS settings from the LIS/LAN
screen.
• Select the desired settings, press SAVE
and then hit EXIT to return to the
Settings screen.
Settings Options
Static IP
• To make the IP address of the instrument
static, select the Static IP option.
Changing instrument IP address
• Press the Keyboard icon. The numeric
Keyboard screen opens.
• Enter the IP address using the numeric
keypad and press ENTER.
Changing server IP address
• Press the Keyboard icon. The numeric
Keyboard screen opens.
• Enter the server IP address using the
numeric keypad and press ENTER.
Ping
• Use this function to test the network con-
nection. With LIS enabled, enter a valid
server IP address, then press PING.
• If the connection is successful, the circle
turns green for 3 seconds and returns to
gray.
• If the connection failed, the circle turns
red.
Server Port
• Press the Keyboard icon. The Keyboard
screen opens. Enter the server port
address using the numeric keypad and
press ENTER.
Client/Server Mode
• The instrument can function as either the
LIS client, or as the LIS server. Select the
desired mode.
Automatic/Manual Transfer of Results
Results can be sent to the LIS computer
automatically or manually. Select the
desired function:
• If Automatically is selected, the results
are reported to the LIS computer instant-
ly.
• If Manually is selected, the results need
to be sent to the LIS computer by the
user.
LIS Mode
• The instrument can communicate with the
LIS in either bi-directional or uni-direc-
tional modes. Select the LIS mode for
your installation.
