OsmoPRO Preventive Maintenance Checklist
Preparations
Power off the instrument
Dampen a soft lab cloth with a mixture of warm water and soap (Isopropyl alcohol also can be
used to further decontaminate the instrument).
General Exterior Wipe Down Procedure
Wipe down the following surfaces:
Touch screen
Turntable
Front, sides and rear enclosure
OsmoPRO Osmometer Cleaning Procedure
Clean the Sample Probe by wiping it with a lint-free cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol or a
cleaning solution for protein removal, such as Thermo Scientific Orion Cleaning Solution.
Clean the Cooling Well using a flexible swab dampened with isopropyl alcohol from the Swab
Cleaner Kit. Insert the flexible swab into the round opening in the Cooling Well.
If the exhaust fans on the rear of the instrument are unobstructed by dust or debris, then power
off the instrument and use compressed air to remove the debris.
Remove solenoid plunger and spring. If necessary, clean the Solenoid by wiping it with a lint-
free cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol or a cleaning solution for protein removal, such as
Thermo Scientific Orion Cleaning Solution.
