AEQ FORUM
Digital audio mixer for broadcast applications
52
There are two distinct areas in this submenu:
• “Offline Operations”: allows you to execute actions where it is not necessary that the
Forum Setup application is in direct communication with the AEQ FORUM mixer. There
actions are available:
o “Import”: allows you to load in the application complete conifigurations
previously stored in a source file. By clicking the “Import” button, a standard
Windows “browse for file” window will open to locate the file to import. The files
must be of the proprietary type FSC (Forum Setup Configuration). These files
are encrypted for reasons of security.
You can find the “DemoConfiguration.FSC” file in C:\Program files
\ForumSetup\Demos.
IMPORTANT NOTE: when you load a configuration using this option, the active
configuration at that moment in the application is overwrited and get lost (unless
you previously save it by means of “Export” option). Therefore, you will be
asked for confirmation:
o “Export”: allows you to download the complete configuration, as shown in the
application at any given moment, to a target file. Clicking on the “Export” button
a standard Windows “save as” window will open allowing you to choose the
folder and output file name to be stored. These files will have the FSC
extension.
• “Online Operations”: allows you to execute actions where it is necessary that the
Forum Setup application is in direct communication with the AEQ FORUM mixer, which
“LAN” port, located on the rear panel of the mixer, has the default IP address displayed
on the screen. When the connection is made through the “ETHERNET” port, the default
IP address is 172.26.34.1.
The “Connect” button initiates the communication process between the Forum Setup
application and the AEQ FORUM Mixer. If the connection is established correctly the 3
associated buttons become active and the “Connect” button changes to “Disconnect”
(and allows you to end that communication).
The associated buttons functions are the following ones:
o “Read”: allows you to read the configuration currently active in the AEQ
FORUM mixer and download it in the Forum Setup application.
IMPORTANT NOTE: the active configuration at that moment in the application
is overwrited and get lost (unless you previously save it by means of “Export”
option).
