4.1.2. User Configurationsubmenu.
“User Configuration” submenu is accessed, from the drop-down menu “Administration”, by
clicking on the icon:
“User Configuration” submenu allows you to set access levels and create users to operate the
AEQ FORUM mixing Console.
The display in this submenu shows the list of registered users and their associated parameters:
User: alphanumeric name of the user. The maximum number of digits is limited to 32.
Password: password associated with the user: number combination of up to 32 digits
from zero to nine, although a maximum of 6 digits is recommended (a password with
more than 6 digits could be used just to access the software, but couldn’t be used in the
console). This password is used to access all the permitted actions in advanced menu,
from the main screen of the Control and Monitoring section of AEQ FORUM. For more
information see section 3.2 of this manual.
Access Level: user level associated with the name and password previously
configured. FORUM AEQ allows up to 4 different users levels:
o LEVEL 0: users with no associated password. The operation is limited to
raising and lowering faders, activate/deactivate the 4 routing keys and the CUE
key of each channel, activate/deactivate channels (“CHANNEL ON/OFF”) and
use the programmable keys and monitoring section. It’s not possible to define
users of this level in the configuration software (you can access to this level in
AEQ FORUM console by pressing the “LOGOU” contextual key in the initial
menu).
o LEVEL 1: these users may perform the same actions as the level 0 users, and
can also activate equalizers and filters and modify audio input channels gains.
They can’t modify phase and balance, activate dynamics processes, modify the
routing or modify the signal present in a certain channel. These users are
defined in the configuration software with “Basic” access level and the
indication “BASIC” is shown in the initial screen of the control surface to identify
this level.
o LEVEL 2: these users may perform the same actions as the level 1 users, as
well as all the additional operation, configuration and control options that AEQ
FORUM control surface and its associated internal menu offers, except the
change of the IP addresses of the two network ports (“LAN” and “ETHERNET”)
present in the rear panel of the unit. These users are defined in the
configuration software with “Advanced” access level and the indication
“ADVAN” is shown in the initial screen of the control surface to identify this
level.
o LEVEL 3: this is the highest level in the system, reserved for administrators. It
enables full access to all the equipment menus and configuration options
(including the change of the IP addresses of the two network ports of the unit),
and, in addition, is the only level enable to access to the configuration software.
The same password is used in this menu integrated into the control surface and
in remote configuration software. These users are defined in the configuration
software with “Administrator” access level and the indication “ADMIN” is
shown in the initial screen of the control surface to identify this level.
ID: internal referente number for each user automatically and sequentially assigned.
