As mentioned above, select this option to back up the image
database while recording. This is called background archiving
because the unit continues normal operation. It archives in the
“background.”
NOTE: The Restore images from tape option is disabled
during background archiving.
To archive in the background:
1. Insert a backup tape. (Refer to Appendix C — Technical
Specifications in the Intellex Installation Instructions for tape
specifications.)
2. After the tape drive lights stop blinking, click Next. The
unit checks the tape. If a tape problem occurs, the unit dis-
plays a message. Refer to the Intellex Troubleshooting Guide
to identify the appropriate action.
Each message screen provides one or more options in ad-
dition to the following two buttons:
Cancel — Click to cancel the archive and return to the
main screen.
Help — Click to display online help for the screen.
