Select this option to copy images from an archive tape to the
restored images database. Once restored, these images can be
reviewed (see Play Restored Images).
NOTE: Restoring images is a protected feature. You must pos-
sess the Archive Restore privilege to access it (see
Security Setup
in the
Intellex Installation Instructions
).
To restore images:
1. From the main screen, click the Archive button. The
Archive Options screen appears (see Archive Operation).
2. Click Restore images from tape.
3. Insert the backup tape that contains the images to restore.
Restore Images
Select one of the following options:
Recover the data now. — Select this option to recover the
data now. Insert the correct tape and click Next.
If you inserted the correct tape, the unit displays a message
and recovers the tape data automatically. Then it continues
the archive operation.
If you did not insert the correct tape, the unit displays this
screen again.
NOTE: We recommend that you recover the data immediately.
Otherwise, the recovery process could last up to two
or more hours. You could also lose the data on the
tape.
Recover the data later. — Select this option and click Next to
recover the data later, using the Recover data from tape op-
tion (see Recover data from tape). The unit uses this tape to con-
tinue archiving. The tape will contain nonsequential video seg-
ments.
Cancel — Click to cancel the archive and return to the main
screen.
Help — Click to display online help for the screen.
