Zero-setting
A calibration point of refractive index (zero point) is programmed.
Always zero-set the instrument when.
The instrument is first turned on.
The time lapsed since last measurement is more than an hour.
The temperature setting is changed.
1. Touch "MEASUREMENT" on
the home screen.
2. Apply purified water on the
prism.
4. Touch "ZERO.
3. Close the cover plate.
5. "WAITING" will blink (while
the Peltier thermo module is
in operation).
6. "READING" will blink.
7. Zero-setting is complete.
Touch "QUIT" to abort the
operation.
When the wait time function is
turned on, a timer that counts
down from the specified time
interval is displayed.

for instructions on how to change
the measurement mode, number
of measurements to be taken,
user, and sample name.
The screen example above is in
the Brix scale.
