Names and Functions of Components
① Sample stage
Place a sample on the prism in the middle.
② Prism
The unit irradiates light internally to the contact
interface between a sample and the surface of
the prism to detect the refractive index of the
sample.
③ Cover plate
It is closed to prevent external light from
interfering with measurements.
④ Touch screen
All operations including taking measurements
and changing settings are controlled on the
touchscreen. It automatically dims after 5
minutes of no operation.
⑤ Rubber feet
The two front feet are adjustable. Turn the
screw near the base of each foot to raise or
lower it to the desired height.
⑥ Power switch
Setting the switch to the | position powers ON
the unit. Setting the switch to the O position will
power off the unit.
⑦ Power port
Connect the AC power cable connector to this
terminal.
⑧ USB port for computer
USB port for connecting to a PC.
⑨ USB flash drive port
Port for a USB flash drive.
⑩ Printer port
Port for connecting to a DP-63 or DP-AD
Digital Printer (The printers are available for
purchase.)
⑪ Intake fan
This fan circulates air to cool the internal
temperature of the RX-i series.
⑫ Exhaust fan (bottom)
This fan radiates heat from inside the RX-i
series.
