default switch configuration. If you want to view the entire configuration, you must use the verbose
qualifier to view the configuration for a specific feature.
A configuration file obtained from a stand-alone switch can only be used to configure other stand-
alone switches that have the same firmware revision and model type as the donor stand-alone
switch.
The following parameters are not saved to the configuration file:
Configuration Image Filename
Terminal settings (speed, width, length)

Displaying the current configuration
Use this procedure to display the current configuration of the switch or stack.
Procedure
1. Enter Privileged EXEC mode:
enable
2. At the command prompt, enter the following command:
show running—config [verbose] [module <value>]
Important:
If the switch CPU is busy performing other tasks, the output of the show running-
config command can appear to intermittently stop and start. This is normal operation
to ensure that other switch management tasks received appropriate priority.
