After installation it is advised to log out and in again to fire up the background process.
Fedora installation
To be able to install ffmpeg, you will need to enable the rpmfusion repository by executing this c omm and:
rpm -Uvh http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-stable.noarch.rpm
http://download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora/rpmfusion-nonfree-release-stable.noarch.rpm
This command shou ld be exe
cuted before you run the installer.
Search the downloaded .rpm file and start the installation. F ollow the instructions a s r equested by te installer in the below sc reens.
