Splitter
1. Remove AOM.
2. Direct the upper beam through the upper hole of "3 holes optical
wand" at AOM-position and the lower beam through the lower hole
of “3 holes optical wand” at AOM position.
3. Intensity of the 6 beams
Measure the lowest and the highest beam. Because of the
polarization of the laser and the splitter it can be that the lowest and
the highest beam have a difference in intensity. Rotate the laser to
make the two beams equal.
Ex.:
beam 1 (top) : 406 µA
beam 2 : 158 µA
beam 3 : 154 µA
beam 4 : 184 µA
beam 5 : 253 µA
beam 6 (bottom) : 400 µA
Try to keep top and bottom beam within 5 %.
Mirror M2
Mirror M2 defines the modulator angle:
1. Position "3 holes optical wand" in front of mirror3. Adjust mirror2 so that
all beams are on the correct height. The middle of the six beams should be in
the middle target hole. Afterwords you adjust all beams about 1mm left on
the order blokker.
2. Insert AOM.
