Adjustment to get the correct angle during scank.
Why are our beams in a angle on the drum ?
Depending on the job quality a customer needs he selects a certain resolution.
The higher the resolution the better the quality(line edge) gets.
Ex.: a resolution of 4000ppi means that the machine will expose 4000pixels on
one inch in both directions(x and y).
Exposure around the drum
.
The drumspeeds are staying the same for the resolutions. It
means that a pixelclock(which is made to switch the beams on
in a equal speed) changes from freq when another resolution
is used.
Exposure along the drum.
Depending on the resolution the carriage has a certain speed.
Ex.: 4000ppi ; 1 pixel = 25,4mm/4000 = 0,00635mm = 6,35 um
So one pixel is 6,35um. It means that after one turn of the drum the carriage
should have moved by this distance if you would
expose with one beam.
