16. Preventive Maintenance
16.8 A/V PRESSURE TRANSDUCER ASSESSMENT AND
DISINFECTION PROCEDURE
Whenever blood contamination occurs, it will be necessary to
replace affected level adjust and pressure monitoring components.
Read these instructions in their entirety before beginning
component replacement.

Observe Universal precautions.
16.8.1 Additional Supplies Needed
In addition to the supplies listed in Section 16.1.1, the following
will be needed for transducer replacement (16.8.3). See Figure 16-
9.
Observe Universal Precautions.
Handle biohazard waste per clinic procedures.
1. Fitting, tee, 116122
2. Fitting 1/8”, Luer, male, P0261000
3. Filter, A02830000, also called a transducer protector
4. Fitting 1/8”, luer female, P01670000
5. Tubing, PVC, 1/8” ID, T00050000 (sold by the foot)
6. Fitting, luer connector with nut, P038200
